Lower Don Bridge Work Begins

Major bridge work has begun in Toronto's east end on the new Lower Don Bridge, crossing over the Don River in Corktown and Riverside. It's all part of the future Ontario Line project underway across the region.

As we work to help transform the region and connect communities, we also hope to reflect those locales in our projects.

Check out how a panel of community leaders helped reflect Toronto's vibrant east-end neighbourhoods in the design of our retaining walls, and how we're replacing invasive species with native vegetation as work continues on the Ontario Line.

Stress Test

Progress continues on the Finch West LRT project in northwest Toronto as the new line continues testing and commissioning.

Vehicles are currently undergoing rigorous testing. But what exactly does that mean? Take a deep dive into the testing process, and check out our video update to see all the progress made thus far.

Directionally Unchallenged

Taking transit should be affordable, convenient and most of all, easy. We're working to keep it that way by introducing new tools and revamps to simplify your commute.

Our digital screens have been refreshed with a new style, showing scheduled time, colour-coded lines, express trains and more. Look out for them at GO Transit and UP Express stations!

We're also making it easier for GO Bus riders to plan their routes with a first of its kind network map.

The new map provides a level of detail not seen before, dedicated specifically to GO Bus routes. It even highlights seasonal routes like those heading to the Toronto Zoo or Canada's Wonderland. It also helps illustrate just how vast the GO Bus network is - with some routes covering more than 100km!

Thanks for reading the Metrolinx Newsletter!

Hoping you will connect with Mississauga and Brampton elected officials (and Mayoral candidates) working to revive the OBRY as both a rail and trail amenity for folks to take an electric (or battery) train, walk and roll! This rail and trail corridor, for which sufficient ROW already exists, highway bridges can accommodate (up to 3-4 lines, actually), one line of track is laid and signalling equipment only needing upgrades would be a game-changer for all of Peel Region. The potential for the lowest-cost new line in a half-century is here, please invest in reviving the OBRY!

How about some transparency on the Eglinton Crosstown? You have lost a lot of confidence in your projects while this is not operational!
