Lower belts are leaders

All Lower belts in martial arts have a significant responsibility to communicate to new members and inform them of how to properly act in front of the Master and to teach with dedication to beginners. As they progress in their own training, they acquire valuable knowledge and experience that can be instrumental in helping newcomers embark on their martial arts journey. Lower belts serve as the first point of contact for beginners, imparting fundamental techniques, etiquette, respect and the ethos of the discipline. Their role extends beyond mere instruction; it involves fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where beginners feel encouraged and motivated. Through patient guidance and effective communication, lower belts can instill the core values of respect, discipline, and perseverance in beginners, ultimately shaping them into future martial artists who will carry on the traditions of their art with honor and commitment. So, every member, it’s your job, not mine, to speak up, set the example and remind new members how to act and behave respectfully.
