Low points in Career - My story

Many a times in my career of over 10 years there were (are & will be low points). The low points could be when I'm unable to fill a position OR when a client escalates OR when a candidate declines an offer OR when a conversation with a colleague isn't going in the right direction OR Many other Things .....

What I've come to learn from multiple low points is that

1. They are constant and always show up from time to time

2. They are unpleasant and always put you down

3. They partially block your mind from learning and encourage over thinking

4. They may also lead you to mental ill health like depression or worse conditions

5. Best of all, these low points are momentary

Considering I have picked up the after effects of low points, I have begun to counter act by the following

1. Be open about the low points with your support system like family, Colleagues & more importantly Managers/leaders.

2. Took time off - I went on a holiday with my wife to a hill station and chilled out for a couple days

3. Started a hobby - Started drawing that takes my mind off work completely(enclosing a couple of my work with this post)

4. Watch/read motivational content, Connect with old friends

What Changed after that

A new outlook on life.....

I've begun to realize(& appreciate) the value of support systems like family,friends & all the people that are with you along this journey.

More importantly the life outside of work, escalations , Personal/Professional fights , Material desires etc..

That in turn helps be better at work & everything I do to Stay positive

This is My personal story of being an HR professional and not intended to hurt/point out anyone.
