Low Opens & Clicks? Do This ASAP (International Living)

Have you ever seen an email start like this?

If so...

The list manager is doing their job well.

You see, I'd argue THE quickest, easiest way to boost your engagement...

Is not by writing new copy... or adding new subscribers...

It's by removing inactive readers.

As beehiiv hiiv says here:

You might think that the best course of action is to delete them, but a re-engagement email campaign might be a better fit. After all, you’ve been putting a lot of resources into acquiring subscribers, so let’s give them one last chance to re-engage before removing them for good.

An "I'm Not a Robot" button does the job well. ActiveCampaign suggests waiting 31-60 days before contacting these readers, which is sound advice.

I'll wrap it up here. The next steps are clear.

  • If you aren't re-engaging your inactive subscribers, get on it ASAP
  • If you already are, great. But there are lots of ways to do it effectively. I'll explore a few different strategies in future emails.

Thanks again for reading, and I'll see you next week!

P.S... Might call these Friday quick takes or something in the future. I'm still playing around with the formatting for these emails and not trying to overthink it.
