Low Cost, High Quality

Low Cost, High Quality

A radio ad for LASIK Surgery caught my attention on the way into the office this morning...

The ad's goal was to lure people into signing up for a "Free Evaluation". After promising the "lowest cost in the industry" for the "highest quality available", if you acted now you could receive an "additional 20% off"!

While they did not offer a free toaster, or free iPad, they did promise to use "FDA approved technology for optimized results" - which begged the question: is there a Non-FDA approved option? And, of course, they did boast that over 1.1 million hamburgers...errrr... surgeries had already been performed.

Maybe I am alone in this, however when it comes to my eye sight... the low cost provider on a discount is probably not what I am looking for... pun intended. When have you ever experienced the lowest cost item actually being the highest quality available? Does that strategy even make sense?

Thoughts?
