This lego-like house can be built in four days with just a screwdriver:
A French company has developed a prototype, Low-Cost and Energy-Efficient House, a special type of house that can be built in a way very similar to the way Lego houses are being built. The idea is very simple; they wanted to find a way to build a house that is well-designed, low-cost and energy-efficient. And the answer was the Pop Up house.
“A Pop Up House can be whatever you wish it to be: a small and cozy country lodge, an urban two-story house, or a spacious open office,”
The components of the house are all made of recyclable wooden panels. These wooden panels can be stacked together while building the house in the same way Legos are built. The wooden panels are held together with wood screws. This basically means that all you need to build this house is a screwdriver to hold the wooden panels together!
Not only is it very quick to set up (just four days) it is also very quick to take down. This basically means that if you are looking for something new, it will just take roughly a week to restructure your whole house. How cool is that?
The prototype that was made included a kitchen, dining area, a terrace that connected to a living room, an office, a master bedroom, two bathrooms and two regular bedrooms. The building is watertight and airtight so you do not have to worry about the cold or rain.
Currently, this service is only available in France but there are plans of expanding it to other countries.
Kein Haus verliert Energie, sie ist nur für uns nicht mehr nutzbar.
8 年This is a bad example for sustainable building, there is the large part of EPS with minimal wood for stability for me. This means I can be equal to live in a plastic bag.
