In Loving Memory, I Announce Peace Through Forgiveness

Today, March 6th, 2024 -- would have been Tarig Khamisa's 50th birthday. Just two months ago, January 21st marked the 27th anniversary of Tariq’s tragedy. The memory never fades. It is as vivid as if it happened yesterday. As I reflect on the last 27 years, I am grateful for the good that has come as a result of this incident (Listen to the NEW song released today by Michael Tiernan that summarizes this sentiment!).

The Tariq Khamisa Foundation, which was spawned as a result of this tragedy is in its 26th year and has reached millions of children, youth, and adults. TKF has saved the lives of many of our youth and continues with the grace of the Universe to grow each year and impact more of our young souls teaching accountability, empathy, compassion, forgiveness, and peacemaking. My extensive speaking around the world continues to promote forgiveness, peacemaking, and peacebuilding in a broken world desperately needing healing and unity.

I am in total awe of the personal growth this work has manifested in me. Somehow, with the grace of the Universe, I was led to my spiritual purpose in this incident which 27 years ago felt like the end of my life along with Tariq. My untold gratitude to Tariq and the Universe for this gift. I feel blessed to have been chosen for this work. My sincere and heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all of you – who have supported TKF, my family, and me. Know you are all especially in my heart, thoughts, and prayers today.

In loving memory of Tariq, we chose today -- his birthday -- to announce and formally launch my final legacy effort -- an initiative to inspire world peace. "Peace Through Forgiveness" is my newest project, currently in the fundraising stage, which will teach forgiveness to the masses as a way to not only heal the hearts of those who practice my forgiveness formula but will exponentially reach everyone in their lives as a result.
