LOVE YOUR MOM AND DAD

Today my mom requested me to buy her a ring for her birthday.

I happily agreed and asked her to choose whatever she likes.

Then my sister told that she wants a new mobile phone for her birthday which falls a day after my mother’s birthday.

I told that I’d place the order online and she’ll get it on her birthday.

When I was enjoying the smiles on their faces, my father arrived. I asked if he wants something too from me.

We haven’t given any expensive gifts for any of your birthdays and I feel guilty to ask something from you, he said in a pale tone.

Stop, you gave me education, food, clothes, and mostly importantly your love and affection. I’m surviving now because of you. What else would you want to give?, I shouted.

He saw me for a second and tightly hugged me like he used to hug during my school days.

Always remember: Our parents don’t really expect expensive gifts from us, but all they want is our love and time.
