Love in the Workplace

Love in the Workplace

February is the second month of the year. It’s incredible how it ended up coming after January and that it happens to be the love month. It’s as if the universe is trying to send us a message. That in every beginning, love must come after. Whatever you do or decide to start, love should follow because things can feel full yet empty without it.

Love is very vague and complicated. If there’s one thing we’re sure about, love is nothing without passion and commitment. Loving something or someone could be exciting and satisfying in many ways, but it never promised a walk in the park. There will be rain and thunderstorms along the way, and it takes a great deal of strength to overcome those hurdles. With the right amount of passion and commitment, one can simply jump over it.

It’s how it is, with almost anything, and that includes our job. No recruiter will promise you a perfect workplace. If they did, that’s probably a red flag, and you should skip that. A job comes with baggage. It can be that co-worker who always borrows things from you because they keep losing theirs, or they are just being nosy as it is. It could be the elevator in your office that needs to be repaired every month or late night work. Well, it can be anything that you’re not entirely comfortable with. But, you stay despite the situation because in the middle of chaos, sometimes you find a reason to stay. It might be that co-worker who never gets tired listening to your repetitive dramas, the aroma of coffee every morning in the office or the laughter you’ve shared with your colleagues in between breaks, or your ever-supportive superior that feels like they’re a godsend. The bottom line is love takes many different forms, and the form we should never disregard is love for the job.

“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life,” sounds familiar? Sure, that’s from Confucious. Does it make any sense to you? If yes, great! If not, you probably should think twice about where you are right now. Having a job that you love doesn’t bother you with the rest of the chaos because you know and you trust that it will fall into the right place one at a time. In the world we live today, every day is a constant battle. It’s challenging, so find a job worthy of the fight; good for you if you are already in it. Don’t be afraid to take the risk and be scared of missing out on the opportunities to find great love.?

And just in case you’re ready, you can visit Quipper’s career page. We have a lot of opportunities waiting for your love. Create a new beginning with us, and together, let’s fall in love.?
