Love vs. Fear
We live in a world created by love but generally operated by fear. And since our outer world is a reflection of our inner selves, I think that it’s critical for everyone to take an honest look in the mirror before we destroy ourselves and, consequently, the world. This is 100% an inside job. It’s nobody else’s responsibility but yours, nor does anyone else have the power to do the work for you.
Love vs. Fear. There’s no one right or wrong way to live, but I think that putting our egos in check regularly will enhance our lives tremendously. Are your daily decisions being run by love or fear? Please take a moment before answering this question. Whether you communicate with someone from love (compassion, unity, creativity, abundance, faith, etc.) or fear (skepticism, arrogance, separation, anger, etc.) makes a huge impact on where the conversation will go. Whether leaders of organizations, corporations, and governments make decisions from love or fear will determine if we solve the world’s problems with grace or do it through reactionary means and even war.
One of my daily practices is to allow love to set my general course of direction, with every decision that I need to make, even if my analytical mind doesn’t know how or why. I trust that eventually my mind will figure it out. In no way am I doing this perfectly, but I am being as intentional as I can be by listening to my intuition. Doing it the other way for decades felt like I was banging my head against walls through life. It left me unfulfilled with the impact that I was making in the world. We either allow our hearts or egos to lead. I believe that our hearts are consistent and stable because love is. On the contrary, our egos are extremely manipulative and volatile, even disguising many things to be love. The narrative of separation, hate, scarcity, and violence are all workings of the ego fueled by fear.
The ego is a part of us that we must learn to understand, fully accept, and love because it serves its purpose in keeping us alive. I believe that love is the most powerful force in the universe. Everything exists because of love. And love will drive you to do wonderful things that don’t even make sense. Love is the root of all thought and action that will lead you to your highest potential and deepest understanding of life. I believe that love is the key to healing the world. From love comes courage. Have the courage to love. This is just a first, but critically important step.
