Love Tutoring Updates, Opportunities and Events - 19th May

Last night,?we launched our Love Tutoring Think Tank.?

The goal of these bi-annual sessions are to bring together?a collection of individuals who offer valuable guidance, support, and expertise to those in the tutoring profession.?

As tutoring continues to evolve into a standalone profession, there are numerous tutors providing one-on-one and small group sessions across the globe. Despite the lack of official regulation, Qualified Tutor provides a comprehensive framework that tutors can utilise to ensure their students' safety, skills and support.

Twice a year, this group will convene?to offer feedback, advice, guidance, non-binding recommendations, and support to professionals in the tutoring industry.

As I decompress from the session last night (and clean my kitchen from my 5 children enjoying dinner time!), I?am pulling together all we discussed in a whitepaper I will share with you in next week's newsletter.

As we continue to develop QT, I am always so?excited and inspired by all that our team and our community?are creating.?

• The parents we connect with are already asking the additional questions, needs & documentation they should look for when finding a tutor for their children.?

I was recently taken aback by a tutor who shared that they believed tutoring was not a priority. I wholeheartedly believe that is not the case.?

Together, we are providing opportunities to children who need us most.?

Together, we are creating Safe, Skilled &?Supported ways for our future generations to be all that they can be.?

Events like last night, show me that we are working towards the same goals - whether we are tutors, parents, teachers or business owners. That is why I am so passionate about what we do here at QT, and why I continue to know that Tutoring is Not Plan B.?

One of the awesome companies we’re talking with at the moment is the design tool Canva. Since Canva is free for teachers in schools, we asked them to extend the same access to their resources for QT Members. They’ve just invited us to join a very special event at their headquarters on Tuesday next week.?

Safeguarding Level 2 Certification for Tutors

22nd May, 11am - 12:30pm

This engaging 1.5 hour?CPD-Accredited workshop is hosted by Qualified Tutor for tutors to receive their Level 2 Safeguarding certification in education.

This live training session on Safeguarding for Tutors is held for Tutors to familiarise you as a tutor with policies and procedures for keeping yourself, and keeping children, safe in education.
