Love Taboo- On Divorce & Born Again

I just read an article (from Africa.com) on how Egyptians have started to get divorce insurance. What a concept! Everybody in the U.S. knows how expensive it is to get divorce, especially considering 40% first time marriage (Time.com Nov 26, 2018), and then 60% second time marriage ends up in divorce (divorcestatistics.info). FYI: The military has not only a divorce rate but also a higher suicide rate, go figure the intangible cost of less creative method of conflict resolution ?? (Marketwatch.com Feb 25, 2018).

I’ve always felt that a marriage should be seen as the biggest investment in one’s life, but not necessarily in the material sense. Think deeply how a tumultuous relationship can rob one’s peace of mind and sense of security then subsequently reduce job performance (Really, why isn’t there mandatory emotional health screening at work like that for cholesterol and blood sugar levels? May be it is high time for workplace to get rid of such social stigma?)

Anyway, having such insurance policy makes sure that no incidental expenses related to love & hate making go straight to the pockets of attorneys. In this way, most of the attention and resources can be put into an amicable living arrangement including child custody. Much like no-fault car insurance, the only way one can prevent a hike in the divorce insurance rate is by actually treading carefully, paying attention to your relationship instead of driving it like a bull in a china shop.

Also, to make sure those who feel that they are 100% emotionally healthy and have no need for such insurance- How about offering them a rider for return of premium once they pass the 50 years golden jubilee mark? How does that sound to you?

Interesting article Dr. Z but emotional health must also go with, a deep indescribable mind connection and the four level of Joy, don’t you think?
