What A Night It Was!
60+ folks gathered on Zoom this past Wednesday, the 16th for the 4th Annual Ann W Cramer/Becky Blalock/Bill Bolling/Ricky Steele Birthday Bash for our Atlanta Community Food Bank.
I felt it was the fastest hour in history. The four birthday celebrants all shared our stories, Kyle Waide shared the impact our new Food Bank will have for hungry folks in our community, the Amazing Michelle Malone and Trish Land shared their gifts of musical genius in one of my favorite tunes because I know I will never do it: "When I Grow Up" :-) and Cameron Turner shared a new initiative we will be rolling out in later September as part of Technology Cares/Technology Shares.

Before we began our Wednesday Zoom call, those gathered and many friends who were not able to attend, had donated $9,000 to our Atlanta Community Food Bank to celebrate our birthdays. Towards the end of the Zoom, I did a quick check of the "tote board" and over $2,000.00 was given while we were online. Although we announced our campaign was going until the close of business today, I assumed new donations would probably end after the Zoom call. How wrong I was. Since Wednesday evening, another $2,500 has been given.
Total Contributions now stand at $14,108.00 which will create 56,432 Individual Meals for our hungry neighbors across The ATL! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
Ann, Becky, Bill and I are so very grateful to each giver. We want to take the liberty of also thanking you for the men, women and children who will enjoy these life saving 56,432 meals, but will never have the opportunity to thank you personally. You have joined in God's work and the world is a better place because of you.
If those of you who have not given to our effort and you feel jealous that you are not feeling the same JOY all of us are, I have Great News. :-) The campaign has been extended from today at 5:00pm until Monday morning, the 21st.
