Love Our Country: Be Civilized on Election Day

I cannot help but ask that on this day because the anxiety rests on the conduct of this day. Yes, I voted. the lines were long. the people were full of emotion. But they were not full of the same emotion. Some were overwhelmed with the lines and were merely amazed. Others were annoyed because of the wait. Some smiled. Then there were others.

I could not help of my daughter who waited in line to make her first Sacrament of Reconciliation and how she for the first time went into a chamber and shared her inner most thoughts. that is how I felt when I voted. Nobody knows. Many presume; as I similarly did when watching my daughter confess.

I was so proud -- both times. I pray that we all are proud at the end of this day when we unite to make a decision while understanding that America is all about process to reach a goal. To reach a common good while understanding that everybody's notion of good is not the same and it certainly is not common.

Nothing is more sacred that our Right to Vote! God, Bless America! Please!
