Love, Learn, and Live
The biggest lesson in life, in my view, is based on three fundamental pillars: learning to love, mastering the art of learning, and understanding the essence of living.
You may have already come across articles, books, podcasts, or TV shows discussing these three aspects separately.
However, in this article, I'll simplify things. We will explore together the real lesson of life: gaining the ability to do three essential things—love, learn, and live.
To Love
Flashback
When I asked my parents and older family members about love at the age of 7, the subject was surrounded by a veil of mystery. It was clear that love was considered something for adults, and living a love story was seen as a matter of maturity, an experience to be reserved for later. I was advised not to focus on this feeling at such a young age but to grow up first. I adopted this belief, and over time, I went through different experiences that led me, at the age of 30, to ask the same question to my family again. Their response was clear: "Now is the time! You should get married to experience love and put an end to your philosophical questions."
Golden Lesson
Discovering the true meaning of love, first and foremost, involves feeling comfortable with who you are and avoiding inner battles that may arise. It's important not to get caught up in comparisons with others because each person is unique and special in their own way.
The essence of love comes from appreciating oneself, and the journey to loving oneself fully begins with recognizing that, at times, not feeling this self-love is a perfectly normal experience that many people share. It's a personal journey but knowing that it's a feeling shared by many can bring comfort and understanding. It's about accepting these moments, growing through them, and fostering genuine self-love.
To Learn
Flashback
Like many others, my childhood was filled with learning experiences, some of which were challenging. Back then, I didn't really grasp the meaning of learning because my introduction to this process mostly happened in school. There, I spent most of my time following teachers' instructions and doing exercises to learn French, Arabic, math, science, and more. For me, all of this felt like meaningless tasks.
However, outside of school, with my friends, everything changed. We played and did fun activities without ever thinking of those moments as learning. That's when I truly understood the depth of learning. It became a release from misunderstood love.
I realized that learning wasn't limited to formal settings. It naturally occurred in our daily interactions. Games, discussions, and experiments with my friends were all forms of learning, even if we didn't call them that at the time. So, learning became, for me, a dynamic journey of exploration, where every experience, whether formal or informal, played a part in shaping my understanding of knowledge and unleashing a genuine love for learning.
Golden Lesson
The starting point of learning is the love we have for what we want to discover. When we feel stressed, our brain sees the task as difficult, making learning seem intimidating. However, learning is more than just immediate experiences. It becomes an internal philosophy that affects how we see our skills and abilities, both psychologically and socially, in all situations where we need to use what we've learned.
It's important to approach each moment with the idea that every experience is a chance to learn. This mindset should be a part of how we think, believing that each experience, good or bad, helps us grow and understand the world. So, learning becomes a continuous process, a constant exploration, and an openness to anything that comes as an opportunity to deepen our knowledge.
By looking at things this way, our relationship with learning changes. We don't see it as a set of separate activities but rather as a general approach to life. Every challenge, interaction, success, or failure becomes a chance to learn and improve. Embracing this philosophy of learning better equips us to handle life's challenges, expand our understanding of the world, and nurture a lasting love for the learning process.

To Live
Flashback
I've learned to value life as something priceless, regardless of the situations that come up. After all, we're all here to live, but figuring out the real meaning of life is still a puzzling question.
A big part of my life has been spent thinking about this, and with time, I've understood that the essence isn't found in a deep analysis of life and its ultimate purpose. Instead, it's in the ability to explore different paths, to open new perspectives without directly confronting them.
My education, deeply rooted in religious beliefs, gave me a simple view: life is a gift from a divine source, a sacred reality not to be questioned beyond certain limits. Many people around me conveyed this idea, creating an inner dilemma that made me wonder: what other options are there?
Golden Lesson
I think the meaning of the word "life" or "to live" varies from person to person, and everyone has their own idea of what it really means. For me, I like to keep things simple: living is, above all, about loving and learning.
It's like these two things are the essential ingredients that make our lives rich and meaningful. Loving, whether it's others or ourselves, brings depth to our experiences. At the same time, learning, whether it's new things or from our own experiences, broadens our understanding of the world around us.
So, for me, living takes on its full meaning in this unique combination of love and learning.
Last Words
I kept the article simple to give you more than just "facts". I wanted to make you curious, so you can think about your own ideas.
By keeping it light, I made a space for you to think and understand things in your own way. I think sometimes, the best ideas come when we take time to think and explore our thoughts.
Now, as we finish this thinking journey, I have one last question for you: Do you think life is really all about love and learning?
