This week is dedicated to sharing some of the music I have uncovered, rediscovered, and enjoyed over the last many months. Like many, music plays an important role in my life. Music can be my release or a welcome distraction. Sharing music is one of my many love languages. Just ask my kids.
Please share some of your favorites in the comments. #sharingIsCaring
- Pastel Blues?by?Nina Simone. Powerful, emotional, and necessary! #newToMe
- Ambiant Otaku?by?Tetsu Inoue. I love stumbling across new ambient gems. Fans of Gas, Christopher Bissonnette, and Biosphere will dig this. #newToMe
- Life on Planet Groove (Live)?by?Maceo Parker. Peter Vircks turned me onto this album when we first met (30 years ago). A jazz and funk masterpiece by a true legend. Pete also turned me onto?Return to Forever?and?Fugazi. #rediscovered
- Sigh. Death and black metal have deep libraries. Stumbling across Sigh's catalog--after this many years of them making music--was a slap in the face (with a slimy, wet mackerel). #newToMe #steadyRotation
- Ravi Shankar In San Francisco (1967)?by?Ravi Shankar. I learned about the sitar and tabla from this album (35 years ago), so I shared it with my youngest. They're a multi-instrumentalist. #rediscovered
- The Plague That Makes Your Booty Move... It's the Infectious Grooves?by?Infectious Grooves. Something triggered me to go digging for this album again. I remember buying this CD back in 1991/1992. #encinoMan #rediscovered
- The Shadow Inside?by?Sadus. Hey, new thrash metal with decent vocals! Yes, please. #new
- Feelin Kinda Free?by?The Drones. I was exploring Australian groups. #newToMe
- Mothership Connection?by?Parliament. My youngest is learning to play the bass guitar. This is an appropriate introduction, IMHO. #rediscovered
- Nilsson Schmilsson?by?Harry Nilsson. The origin of most indie music. #rediscovered

Coaching & Mentoring
Do you know your love language? Is there something you receive or give that makes you infinitely happy?! I encourage you to explore your love language?and?practice sharing that information with others. Both steps are complex and take time, but they can go a long way to helping you grow comfortable with the "human" qualities we often suppress.
