Love Island or SAP Sapphire ?

It's a difficult choice I know, watching Love Island Season 4 or watching the best from SAP Sapphire 2018.

To be honest I haven't been too impressed with Sapphire day 1 (I'm sure Love Island will be fantastic), I tend to think SAP are starting to struggle to explain the change from

Run Simple to Run Intelligent

To be honest its what always happens with SAP, they simply loose focus on the now and start to fixate on their own over the horizon product roadmap, well Sapphire is pre sales after all.

SAP are racing off over the digital horizon, the problem for most customers is they are constantly playing catch up

So what should the business focus be, HANA ERP Digital core of SAP Digital innovation ?

SAP would like organisations to focus on both, following a bi-modal approach to digital innovation, my experience is that many organisations are simply too optimised and have higher digital priorities to follow both digital streams;

I'm starting to see CIO's follow a different path

A pragmatic approach, digital augmentation in support of short term business priorities

So enjoy Sapphire and stick Love Island on to record.......
