LOVE

Years back, during my school days, I remember an incident when my English teacher all of a sudden called me to the front of the class and asked me a question, "What is love?" I hope you can very well feel the numbness that would have run in me, top to toe. With no idea what to say, I just started, "Love is a verb and therefore an action word. It's a feeling which supports every human; an action with a wonderful reaction". I could not continue, as the whole class burst into a horrible uproar. More than for my senseless answer, they laughed for my teacher's dumb-struck face. It took her a minute to return to normalcy. Later she addressed me, "I thought you would either shun or rather boldly love to speak about love. This is the age of hot burst. Be on the move." Then and there I understood that this topic is more to feel than to speak.

Years passed, and all along I have heard and experienced much in the arena of love. I understand that the world portrays 'Love' in its current fashion. Anyway, for all these years I was fortunate enough to be loved by 'One', who never changed. I have very many times looked into the world, where love is measured, bargained and bought for. For such people, I can only lament with a hope that somewhere in their masked life, they would surely realize 'True Love'.

True Love never has reasons. You can neither demand it nor retain a position to deserve it. It can neither be analyzed nor extorted. It can only be gratefully received. It can only be experienced.

When such true love is experienced, we are reborn. Right now, I have no idea of how many rebirths I have taken; simply for the reason that the love which is bestowed upon me is so full of "no reasons". He provides me no room for guilt, but a hand to pull me out of mistakes I committed in the long run, and a pat of encouragement for the courage I took to move on, shedding my fear of falling again. When we are thus loved, we feel understood and pluck the courage to drop the mask of anonymity. It is like a strong cup of coffee, energizing us to set on new ventures.

Such an experience of love is like foretasting heaven on earth! Here is the dawn of a new day with the darkness of doubts dispelled.
