For The Love Of The Game

Back in the flow.  New personal project - 'For The Love Of The Game'

I can't put into words just how incredible it felt to be back creating new work on set and in person again last Friday.

So this project is all about going back to the start of the story.  Back to the original, and authentic why.  

For basketball player Dom, hitting the court on his own at 7am - and playing basketball for no other reason than his love for the game.  Not for any future goal, or for anyone else... but for the now, and being in that flow.

For myself and my photography... exactly the same. Creating new work simply because I love my craft.  Being in that creative flow... it lights me up like nothing else. 

When what we love to do the most is taken away from us.... the first time you return to it lights a fire in you like you wouldn't believe. I cried a few tears of joy when I got back to my car at the end of the shoot. 

We've all been facing our own unique challenges, and I'm sending my love to you for those.  I've for sure experienced some tough points these weeks.  But I’m very lucky and have a million things to be grateful for too. Especially my wife if she's reading this.

For me, this time has also stripped a lot of the BS away - shown me more of what really matters, reinforced and illuminated my why for everything I do and how I'm going to do it. 

There's zero doubt.... I'm an exponentially stronger, more creative, more patient, certainly more resilient, and more mentally free human being than at any point before.
