Love Does - A concept so simple that we completely miss it

Well, actually he just knows my name as I attended his #DREAMBIG workshop. We had a ton of fun and took some selfies!

His book, LOVE DOES (NYT bestseller with over 3,000 reviews) has these three things that I think are all about #BecomingIntentional

#1 - I am with you (instead of fixing people just be with them)

Instead of trying to solve the world's problem, just stand there with your co-founder, partner, co-worker, spouse and say that I am with you! There is power in standing still. Nothing more or less is needed. You don't need to create 5 point system to show how you can solve their problem or fix them because you cannot. Sometimes, you just need to be present. So easy to do but we make it hard.

#2 - In the world where saying NO means leadership (say YES to people who care about you the most)

With prioritization as the way to become focused and discard everything in life, it's interesting that we push out the people closest to us in the name of "price for success". Next time when your mom or dad calls, just pick up and talk to them. Or even better, you call them and see what happens. It's a game-changer! Stop reading and do it now if you haven't done that in a while and come back later to read the rest. It's that important!

#3 - There's more room (You don't need to ask for an invitation to do things, but rather just go do it)

If you are waiting for permission, I gotta newsflash for you. You are never going to get that permission slip. Nobody does. You need to simply walk in and do what you think is right and let others tell you if it's wrong. Chances are no one is waiting to tell you and rather are cheering to see you succeed. We sometimes over complicate and ask too many questions. Every time you are stuck, just imagine that there is more room and another seat at the table, you just need to show up and make it happen. Don't wait for permission to do what is right.

Now I know that these three ideas are almost the opposite to the convention wisdom but when you think about it, it's all about #BecomingIntentional
