Love and Basketball. And Taking over the Sacramento Kings Snapchat on Social Media Night!

You can say I'm pretty fond of #hashtags, emojis and all things social media. Last year, LinkedIn even recognized me as a Top Voice for my writing on #SocialMedia and Social Business. The love is real.

But more than social media there's a couple things I love that top the list.

The Sacramento Kings held their emoji-filled, viral video, and #???? swagged out

Social Media Night during Monday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. I was soooo excited ?? when I got an invite to take over their Snapchat during this #Awesome event! They also invited my boyfriend!

Instead of watching the game from home in San Jose while tweeting my fellow Sacramento Kings fans on Twitter like my boyfriend Tino and I normally do, we got to experience the game in a whole new way. We watched our favorite players warm up (in their super cool social media night shirts with their social handles on the back), we stood feet away during the team huddle before tip-off, got on the Boomerang cam on the jumbotron and so much more! Social Media Night at the game consisted of life sized emojis, playing viral videos and a special guest appearance of the hilarious @famouslos32!

The Sacramento Kings share unique perspectives from fans and people all over the organization during game nights via Snapchat Spectacles in a series they call going, #BehindTheLens. Companies and organizations need to take note on the Sacramento Kings compelling digital and social storytelling they are organically doing in this creative and user generated way.
