ARISE, THE BRAVEST, THE NOBLEST
Brave hearts in their finest,
Gathered from north, south, east and west,
To look for a land so blessed.
A land where everyone is happiest,
Where all eat and have in fullest,
Where hunger and self are rarest.
Soon, their love and joy, so loudest,
Attracted the wiliest,
Who rendered their strength weakest.
Some, who could do their best,
Decided to take a rest,
Leaving the room for those without vest,
To play the game for fun and jest.
In rage, so many left the contest.
How then shall we win and wear the crest!
We planned to build and invest.
Instantly with oneness and zest
With hopes and ambitions fairest
Remembering the unity at youngest
Many stood for the test.
Because we had a bond that is largest
And for freedom, of course there could be no arrest.
We thought we were strongest,
But the doze gave in for pest.
And soon in our own nest,
We became the smallest.
Where then are the few wisest!
Not the fool richest-
Who will sit and digest-
On the way forward, lest,
In our struggle and quest
For a future that is brightest
And having a name as Mt. Everest
We allow the cruelest,
Who are desperate to infest,
Make us the poorest.
Therefore, with faith so highest,
Let us rise in earnest,
And soar above the meanest.
Only by this, dearest,
Can we conquer the greediest,
Come out of our hours darkest
And have a dream sweetest.
And again, we shall be the richest
And no more the oppressed
And when we shall be addressed
We shall be called the bravest, the noblest.
