Love is in the air…..for one day only!
Today, all over the world, people celebrate Valentine’s Day. A day when they show love to their spouses or significant others.
Typically we see various memes about guys trying to break up just before Valentine’s Day and the ladies being all nice in order to ensure this doesn’t happen.
And it’s getting much more common to see Valentine’s Day love on display in the workplace. I remember that I would have colleagues who would receive several gifts at work ranging from cakes to flowers to chocolate. This one time, someone received several Valentine’s Day gifts from different people. They just kept on getting called about deliveries throughout the day. I had no complaints there as I got to eat lots of cake that day!
But then again you hear about people who, in order not to feel ‘left out’, order themselves some cake, chocolate or flowers to have delivered to them while at work - just so that they can feel special. Now that where is probably draw the line, I think ??. But anyways, to each his own!
As I think about Valentine’s Day in the workplace, I also thing about people who have romantic relationships with work colleagues. What are your thoughts about this?
Some people say:
It’s a little too much closeness and they would never do this as they need their space. I can see that point of view I wonder sometimes if this might breed jealousy if you find that your significant other keeps spending time with one particular person and you keep wondering if there’s ‘something’ going on between them. Very likely though, that ‘something’ going on is probably just work but then again, what do I know ????♀?

Others feel that there nothing wrong with it and that it further cements the relationship. I’m know that definitely in the recent Covid-19 pandemic era, when people were working from home with their spouses in the same room, it may have felt like they worked in the same office and perhaps they may have liked that feeling. Again, I don’t know!
What about the idea of dating your boss? Or subordinate? Is that a go or not? I’m asking for those who may be in any of these different situations and who may be wondering what decisions to take.
Perhaps, if you share your thoughts below, someone might learn something ??
By the way, I here that Covid-19 rapid test kits are now becoming a dating ritual….. ??
Regardless of where you are - if you’re a Valentine’s Day person or not. Regardless of if you’re getting a special gift ?? or not, I’d like to wish you Happy Valentine’s Day.
May you experience love in your world today and always!
Have an amazing week.

If ever, there will be a special day for love, its should be a day to show love to most needy ones around us, those that could not able to have their daily meal, nothing to eat, sick.
