Louvre Museum

In Abu Dhabi, the Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) is constructing a district of cultural institutions, including the Louvre Abu Dhabi, as part of the “Saadiyat Cultural District”. BAUER International FZE carried out the specialist foundation works. For the enabling works, Bauer has vibro-compacted a large sand area in order to enable the construction of the cut-off walls and foundation piles. Bauer has installed approximately 1,250 lm of Mixed-in-Place cut-off wall and approximately 170 lm of secant pile wall. The piling works contract was also awarded to BAUER International FZE. Bauer has installed approximately 4,530 bored piles. In a second phase, approximately 100 lm of Mixed-in-Place cut-off wall, approximately 280 lm of secant pile wall and approximately 275 bored piles were installed additionally.
