Last Wednesday, we got the chance to talk to experienced tech investor and operator, Louis Warner !?
As the COO at Founders Factory, partner at G-Force, and previously CEO at Contentive, there was so much that Framework members took away from the session.

??It’s all about the advisory board — For Louis, establishing an effective advisory board made up of three or four people with the right experience and information is vital when you’re the founder of a new business.
??Resilience is key — Louis admits that building a successful startup that finds product-market fit involves a lot of luck. For this reason, he believes that the single most important attribute of a successful early-stage company is having the resilience and grit to stick with it long enough for that luck to strike.

??Is your product solving a problem? — Having spent decades investing in tech businesses, Louis is all too aware that many ‘next big things’ come and go, and it's often because they’re a ‘solution that’s looking for a great problem’. It’s important to make sure that your new business idea is actually satisfying an unmet need.
??Go with your gut — As an investor, it's easy to get stuck in analysis paralysis, but Louis explains that taking a chance on new startups often comes down to gut feel and optimism: “It's so easy to find things wrong in any early stage business, ultimately, do I like the founder enough? Is the space growing fast enough? Does it feel like they've got a solution? Is this a good bet?”
