Lotus - Low Kim Chit
These lotus plants are devoid of flowers, leaving their distinctive stems and stamens as the subject of interest here. They make for interesting study, as the stiff linear stems culminate in closely pack round heads which somehow are reminiscent of a dense group of urban human commuters going about in town.
The Lotus are very much beloved by the Chinese people since millennia. In the words of Cao Zhi (192 - 232), Prince of Cao Wei State and an accomplished poet, "Of all the plants in the world, the lotus flower is the most unique".
