This is not a post about SAP or anything to do with technology. Yesterday I found out I lost one of my best friends of the last 20 years. The reason I writing about this here is because a lot of you knew him either personally or just being in the SAP space. My friend Mr. Chris Holcroft passed away earlier this week. As you walk through life and as the years go by you realize that there is only a handful of people you meet that make a profound difference in your life. Somebody you cherish as a friend, that you trust, is just fun to be with and always has your back. Chris was that for me, we met 20 years ago based on an introduction by a mutual friend Mr. Michael Broberg. We hit it off immediately and starting working together on finding the best SAP talent to help me manage SAP projects and in a lot of cases fixing really bad SAP implementations. As they say the rest is history and we became even closer over the years and continued our friendship. We use to laugh how a wild man from England became friends with a cowboy from Colorado. We enjoyed watching our kids grow up and I know how proud he was of Jac and Ashli.
The stories go on and most of them would not be good for print, but I can say we had fun every time we were together or just a chat on the phone. Chris, I miss you man and I know a lot of people feel the same way, you were a wild and crazy but we loved you for being who you were. Rest in peace and we will party again sooner than later.

5 年Just...damn.? I'm so sorry to hear this Mike, Chris was an inspiration for me, especially with regards to his work for the 'other' ERP (elephant rescue project).? I never had a chance to meet him in person, but in?the communication I did have with him?it was?apparent that he was that rare individual that leaves his mark on the world through his influence on people.? I was glad to know him, and?the world is a dimmer place without him. ?
