LOST ANYTHING LATELY?
LIKE IN-YOUR-FACE KINDS OF THINGS?
I misplaced two credit cards last week. I telephoned and located one of them at Tapatio’s in Factoria. Maybe both are there. I hope. I’ll stop by and see. Oops, now neither of them is there. So, I'm doing the lock and request replacement scenario. It's not the first time.

It’s always been this way. If I am using a phone, iPad, camera, or computer while speaking or traveling, I ask in advance those I'm with for help, keeping an eye out for my stuff. I get engaged in talking or listening to people or praying together about what’s happening, and I forget. So, I've lost a few things. But not people.

ARE YOU FACING UNCERTAINTY
about who or where you are in your life right now??Maybe the three questions I use could help you get unstuck.
?
·????? Who is God in my life right now?
·????? Who am I in this powerful new season of my life?
·????? What will I do with the years that remain?
?
I've been asking myself these questions since I was in my 30s. The questions never change, but the answers do. They changed just recently for me again.

I’VE BEEN REMINDED
of life's “watch where you are going” segments and how important they can be to us. A friend recently admitted to the proverbial “faceplant” on a sidewalk near his home. A place he was familiar with, but for a moment, wasn't being attentive. I am a self-appointed guru of the “fall down, get up” guild, so I get it. It can happen to any of us, even in the most familiar “places” in life.

ARE YOU UNSURE
about ‘next steps’ in your life journey? This morning in the early dark, Gage and I are doing our “prime walk.” And I think how pleasant for a man and his dog to be out like this on a cold winter’s day. And to have a light to turn on in the especially dark places. It's easy to fall when you least expect it. When you're unprepared for it.

How have you kept from falling or going in the wrong direction at some important, maybe even dangerous place in your life??What did you do that will help the rest of us?
Let's keep the Light on for each other, right? Especially in the dark places.

And from here on, I’ll try to hang onto my credit cards like I do the good people in my life. I do misplace, there is no doubt. But when I do, I know which ones I can replace and which I cannot.
