Close to 3 lacs COVID positive cases in a day, so many thousands of deaths. No oxygen, no beds available to get our people treated? It leaves me in goosebumps.
Such is the intensity with which the nation is burning right now. The unprecedented era of COVID 19 brought us all in a phase where even after so much disaster management planning, we’re not able to put a stop to it. An invisible virus is making so many people disappear. Millions of dollars worth of losses being reported by many Indian and Multi-National companies.
Indian Hotels Co reports a consolidated net loss of Rs 91.30 crore in the March 2021 quarter
As per Business Standard May 3, 2021, 09:05 IST ,The above are just two of plenty of headlines that are making their way to the newspapers and TV news channels.
The battle for the monetary losses and to gain economic stability is surely important but, in the process, to revive from the economic losses, we are losing on so many other fronts. We are losing the relationships between companies and their employees, the trust between two business partners, a man/women of the house is not confident till when he/she will be able to feed his family after getting fired, and many more hundreds of equations like this are taking us down as a society. All the money lost can be made, perhaps even, multiple more times but the relations and social equations among people at work, family and community will be very hard to repair.
Let's not overlook this aspect where we are losing but not realizing, otherwise tomorrow we will be left with everything revived but no one to share the joy of it with. Where ever we are let's try to support people at work best possible way in our capacity, if needed there's no harm in going out of the way too.
