How the HOLY SPIRIT opens our eyes to pray the LORD’S Prayer as with How we view by HIS Mercy the 10 Commandments is key as we start to see in ourselves the Fruits of Regeneration.

The LORD’S Prayer becomes as the 10 Commandments our desire, and no longer arduous, nor do we believe the 10 Commandments are attainable, of our own strength, but that we comply more and more by the leading of the HOLY SPIRIT as a fruit of our Regeneration.

Today we focus on the LORD’S Prayer, and how it by Grace only becomes our want to do, and NOT have to do.

This is also the Last week of Ordinary Time until around June where we will pickup our Matthew Series, Wednesday we be our Traditional Ash Wednesday post, as we begin the Lenton Season.

Re 4:8 ? And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and day and night they do not cease to say, "HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY, WHO WAS AND WHO IS AND WHO IS TO COME."

First Reading

Genesis 3:4 The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die!

?5 "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

?6 ? When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.

?7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings.

?8 They heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.

?9 ? Then the LORD God called to the man, and said to him, "Where are you?"

?10 He said, "I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself."

?11 ? And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?"

?12 The man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate."

?13 Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" And the woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

?14 ? The LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, Cursed are you more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you will go, And dust you will eat All the days of your life;

?15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel."

The Lords Prayer and Apostles Creed

Matthew 6:9 ? And Jesus said "In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

?10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

?11 Give us this day our daily bread.

?12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

?13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Christian What Do You Believe?

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, Born of the Virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, Was crucified, dead, and buried: He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; The Holy Catholic Church; (this is the Holy World Wide Church of Jesus Christ and not singled out to the Roman Catholic Church) The Communion of Saints; The Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the body, And the Life everlasting. Amen.

Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. ?17 "But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, ?18 "so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. ?19 ? The LORD’S Prayer As A Fruit Of Regeneration

?

1 Foundation Of The LORD’S Prayer

2 Our Understanding Of The Prayer Through Regeneration

3 The Prayer As A Fruit Of Regeneration

?

?

?

1 Foundation Of The LORD’S Prayer

Though the LORD’S Prayer is perhaps a fundamental part of your weekly worship service, and you can recite the words backward & forward, perhaps we might want to look a little deeper at the Prayer.

As we see the words of the Prayer one would think we actually understand it, and yet as we mouth the words, how have they really changed us?

Are we changed by the petitions, are we actually living them, and have we and others seen this change?

As we know, Jesus gives us the example of the Prayer and explains the heart of the Person praying, Jesus is laying out what a true person of faith will live like following the Prayer, and the heart of Forgiveness is at the center of this.

?

2 Our Understanding Of The Prayer Through Regeneration

????????????The first point was rather short, but needed to be laid out as it is the Foundation of what the Changed Heart will naturally look like, and follow.

As we walk through the prayer petition by petition: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Amen.

Will show the heart of the true change, and can only be truly understood when we actually as a Fruit of the Changed heart it becomes something we now say (Regenerated) naturally.

?

3 The Prayer As A Fruit Of Regeneration

So Yes, the Prayer, as with the Law becomes our first Love, but not by our doing, but through and proof of a fruit of regeneration by the HOLY SPIRIT.

????????????But the Grace and Mercy of our TRIUNE GOD, we are truly brought to Spiritual Life by the will of the FATHER, Through our Redemption through Jesus Christ Our LORD, and our real awakening by the HOLY SPIRIT is this love of the petitions of the Prayer, possible!

It is never from our own strength, nor even possible, since we naturally are dead in our Trespasses and Sins, Romans 3:10–12 (NASB95):??10 as it is written,?

“There is none righteous, not even one;?

?11 There is none who understands,?

There is none who seeks for God;?

?12 All have turned aside, together they have become useless;?

There is none who does good,?

There is not even one.”

????????????Sadly, NO Arminianism understanding, can change this truth, we Naturally cannot love the Prayer, nor can we truly understand what each petition fully means without the power of regeneration, and yet the true 180 degree change the HOLY SPIRIT works in regeneration causes us to Love the petitions, and as a true fruit we de facto Love the and live the petitions, not perfectly, but now naturally.

All of our Salvation is truly as a work of the FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT and our GOD alone.

All Hail The Power Of Jesus Name

Second Presbyterian Church Memphis, Organist Mr. Samuel Metzger

The Feast Of the LORD?

1Co 11:23 ? For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread;

?24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me."

?25 In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."

?26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes.

?27 Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.

?28 But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

?29 For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly.
