Lord Srinivasa Venkateshwara ki Jay

Lord Venkateshwara is an avatar of Lord Vishnu. The main reasons for the Venkateshwara avatar are :: In Lord Krishna’s avatar, His mother Yashoda doesn't attend any of Krishna’s marriages. So, she asks a boon that, atleast in His next avatar, she want to see and perform His marriage. So Lord Vishnu was born as Lord Venkateshwara and He fulfills His mother's wish. Lord Vishnu took this avatar to save the humans from the clutches of this dark age Kaliyug, and give an opportunity to devote to His Lotus feet.

Lord Venkateshwara or Balaji temple is located amongst the beautiful seven hills at Tirumala (Tirupati, Andhra pradesh) The story of Lord Venkateshwara ::Goddess Lakshmi and Vishnu took birth as Lord Srinivasa and Padmavathi( Padmavathi was born to a King).And after receiving a boon from Lord Krishna, his mother Yashoda was born as Vakula Devi. Padmavathi grew up into a beautiful maiden and she told to Sage Narada, that she was destined to be spouse of Lord Vishnu.

One day, Lord Srinivasa on a hunting trip was chasing a wild elephant, and the elephant led him into a garden where Princess Padmavathi was present. Seeing Padmavathi, Lord Srinivasa instantly fell in love with her. He tells his desire to Vakula devi, and reveals His identity as Lord Vishnu. Meanwhile Vakula devi approaches the father of Padmavathi, with the proposal to marry her son Lord Srinivasa. Since Lord Srinivasa was staying in the Rishi ashram, and He din't have money for a grand wedding with the Princess, He borrowed a heavy loan from Kubera and promised Kubera that he would continue to service the loan, till the end of this Yuga, with the assistance of His devotees.

It is believed that the loan was 1.4 million Ramamudra coins (the gold coins had seal of Lord Rama’s kingdom). So when a devotee presents an offering at Balaji temple, he tries to help Lord in his quest of repayment of the loan and he is never sent back empty handed. The donations made to the Tirupati Hundi are only applied to the interest on the loan, and not on the principal. According to Puranas, though Goddess Lakshmi is associated with creation of wealth, it is Kubera who is depicted as a subsidiary Deity who distributes wealth to devotees.

This is one of the kalyug avatars, it is first avatar of kalyug second is Buddha avatar and third is Kalki (there is also minor avatars like Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Jagganath Also Vitthal Sometimes). The main purpose of this avatar is that people in kaliyug will be so busy in work they will be get in stress,anxiety and depression, so to some extent lord want to give these materialistic people a marga darshan. The second purpose is to make Maa Yashodas promise because Maa Yashoda never seen any marriages of Krishna so that's why Krishna reborn as Venkateswara and Yashoda as Vakula devi so she can watch his marriage with Maa Padmavathi and also to make Maa lakshmi happy because she was angry and left Vaikuntha because rishi Bhrigu insulted Narayana.

Though the reason for taking Venkateswara avatara is for kaliyuga, there are couple of unfulfilled desires of devotees from his past incarnations. To fulfil them as well, Narayana has taken this kaliyuga avatar. Reason1: Chaya devi asks to marry?lord Rama, but he denies as he took a pledge to devotee to mother Sita only.So she comes back as Padmavathi maa. Reason2: Yashoda maa asks?lord Krishna?to get married in her presence.So she comes back as Vakula matha. Moreover,everyday we sing to wake up lord Venkateswara. "Kausalya Supraja Rama Purva Sandhya Pravartate, Uttishtho Uttishtha Govinda Uttishtha Garudadhvaja" This is taken from?valmiki ramayana ,Aranya kanda..Do we need any other proof that he is none other than Rama(Narayana).
