We all have heard childhood stories of Lord?Krishna.
King?Kans?was son of Raja Ugrasen and maternal uncle of Lord Krishna.?
Devki and Kans were siblings.
Lord Krishna was the 8th?child of Devki and Vasudeva.?
There was an?Akashvani?(Divine voice) during Devki’s wedding that?Kans?would be killed by Devki’s 8th?Child.
To avoid being killed, infant Krishna is sent by Vasudeva to Gokul village and is raised by Yashoda & Nanda.
To safeguard himself,?Kans?sends several perils/demons to destroy Child Krishna.
We can draw an analogy to modern day Act of God Perils & Man made risks which can cause huge property damages, bodily injuries & health hazards.
1.?????Pootna?is the?Dai?(Child caretaker) of the?Kans’s?kingdom. On advice of?Kans?she goes to Gokul village and breast feeds all newborn children with poisoned milk. She tries to poison infant Lord Krishna.?
2.?????Kakasur Rakshas?(Crow Demon) comes to kill Child Krishna. Big size birds are capable of damaging standing crop and can cause injury to humans too.
3.?????Another?Rakshas-?Sakatasur?comes in form of a huge wheel- trying to crush Child Krishna. When?Yashoda Mata?places Krishna on the floor,?Sakatasur(Wheel Demon) looks for an opportunity to speed roll and crush child Krishna.
4.?????Another Rakshas takes form of a storm. Tries to pick up Child Krishna’s swing up in the sky and drop from great height.?Trilavarta- (Whirlwind demon).?
The insurance company is just like Lord Krishna the protector. In case damages arise due to perils, it stands by the client(insured) and economically protects them.
On a lighter note:?Yamraj?is the ultimate peril
