Lord Ganesha : A Symbol to lead our life !

In our mythology, we have been hearing about many Symbols and Associations. The recall of symbol has been so profound that all are deep rooted in our subconscious mind !

If we think through the narration of Lord Ganesha Idol, could got many symbols required to develop attributes of admirable scholars or leading our life in more meaningful way .

  1. Ganesha holds Axe in his hand - It would represent the analytical skill i.e. A scholar must have to have ability to separate subjective from objective and animal stints from human conditioning
  2. Lord Ganesha with rats &blades of grass - It would have been representing the ability to outgrow the setbacks quickly as we could see even after extermination , Rat & Grass regenerate itself pretty quickly .
  3. Elephant Head - Elephant has no natural enemy I could interpret it as our intellect decides how many friends and enemies are around us .
  4. Big Ear -Listening ability is must to develop ourselves as a Scholar or lead the things in better way
  5. Multiple hands with different tools- We must keep equipping ourselves with various skill sets basically to lead better
  6. God idol being constructed from clay and dissolve in water at the end - Reminding time and again the "Creative & Destructive Cycle of Nature" so Egoism must be avoided

Symbol plays a great role ! Why not to introspect what we as a individual being symbolized for ? What we exactly would wanted to get symbolized ? Is there a major mismatch ? Lets align the internal and external compass ! It will lead a more meaningful and satisfying life !
