Lord Ganesha – Illuminate our minds
It’s the birthday of Lord Ganesha, The god of intellect, good luck and knowledge.
Knowledge and Education have always been correlated, Knowledge is a process of acquiring facts, information and skills through one’s own experiences or learnings whereas education is a process of learning in a systematic manner from a formal institution such as schools, colleges or universities
Education is not just about learning subjects in school, its more then that, its about preparing for the future, about acquiring skills that will hold you good steed in the journey of life. Those skills could vary, , it could be skills with hands, maths, numbers, plants, people. It could be traits of kindness, boldness, alertness and a willingness to learn.
As William S Burroughs said “The aim of education is the knowledge, not of facts, but of values.”
As educators, we remain eternal learners & its our endeavour ?to bring the best to and for our students & we pray to Lord Ganesha to bless each one
Aum Ekadantaya Viddhamahe, Vakratundaya Dhimahi,
Tanno Danti Prachodayat?
We pray to the one with the single-tusked elephant tooth who is omnipresent. We meditate upon and pray for greater intellect to the Lord with the curved, elephant-shaped trunk. We bow before the one with the single-tusked elephant tooth to illuminate our minds with wisdom.
