New statutory work life balance rights for parents and carers come into effect on Monday 3rd July

From the 3rd of July, breastfeeding breaks are available to employees for two years after a child's birth (previously six months) and parents and carers will be entitled to 5 days' unpaid leave for medical purposes. The remaining rights under the work life balance legislation are scheduled to come into effect in the autumn.
