Vignette oil paintings on BFK paper of the ephemeral colors and light in the sky in the Pacific Northwest by Michelle LaFoe, OFFICE 52 Architecture partner. It seems that architects many times forget to look at the world around them. And today most people walk around the city while looking at their mobile device and rarely look up, down or forward. This work is part of her ongoing ‘About Looking: Perception’ series of drawings, paintings and architectural installations. Michelle grew up in Texas with the ‘big sky’ and light that is quite different than that found with the colors and sky of the Pacific Northwest. Forthcoming exhibition in 2019.
