To ensure a successful participation for Myanmar exporters, even though they will not be able to physically travel to the Thaifex ANUGA trade fair in May 2022, a national consultant will be recruited to prepare, represent the exporters and the sectors during the trade fair and organise the follow-up from the different potential sales leads.
?Description of Duties/Responsibilities:
TBefore the fair (preparation)
?·????????Participate in briefing sessions to prepare for trade fair participation of selected Myanmar exporters
·????????Organize weekly calls with Myanmar exporters and counterparts to have a full understanding of products and companies.
·????????Create one pager for each company to be used during the show (a template will be provided) and Support logistic with providing quotations to print marketing material in Japan organise printing out to be used during the fair
·????????Organise collection of brochures, promotional materials to receive before the start of the trade fair, to use during the fair
·????????Prepare media package to inform potential buyers of participation of Myanmar exporters at the trade fair (Facebook post, social media or web story) and related events.
·????????Pre-establish contacts with potential interested buyers before the trade fair. Invite buyers to the stand, present products, represent Myanmar exporters, organise tasting sessions etc
·????????Be responsible for the identification (with the support of exporters), collection and shipping of samples to be displayed at the trade fair. Be responsible for the customs clearance of the samples and the safe arrival of the samples at the trade fair in due time.
·????????Be responsible for liaising with the trade fair organisers for the organisation of design, stand construction, graphics, appliances, setting up, dismantling etc
?During the fair
·????????Be responsible for setting up the booth and man the booth during the entire duration of the trade fair.
·????????Represent Myanmar exporters during the fair trade to initiate meeting with potential buyers of the selected products.

·????????Compile B2B forms for each buyer contacted and met.
·????????Provide and post web stories, pictures, video of Myanmar’s participation (stand and B2B meetings) on social media
?After the fair
?·????????Compile the B2B contacts for each participating company. Provide report on results. Based on B2B and buyers feedback, organised a workplan for each exporter with clear next steps for them to follow (follow up on discussion: eg: send info, samples, contact again the buyer in XX days/months)
·????????Provide individual guidance to support companies to respond to buyers requirement: info, samples, delay to answer etc.
·????????Organise a call between buyers met and respective Myanmar exporters to ensure a smooth transition
·????????Write a short article to be posted on social media or for monitoring purposes, on an interesting story/successful results from trade fair participation etc
Experience:
At least 10 years’ experience in business, value chain analysis and development, or export competitiveness development.
Work experience with the agrifood private sector in Myanmar and Thailand. Experience in organizing participation of companies to international trade fairs. Good knowledge about the local business community.
Language:
Advanced level of written and spoken English
