My Journey to Three Job Offers - Post COVID

Securing three job offers as a QA Automation professional was no small feat. Probably, I applied for hundreds of companies and it was a hell of a ride.

• Optimising My LinkedIn Profile: I ensured my LinkedIn profile was detailed, with a professional photo, a compelling summary, and endorsements for my skills.

2. Networking

Networking played a crucial role in my job search. I connected with professionals in the industry, joined relevant LinkedIn groups, and participated in QA forums. This helped me stay updated on job openings and industry trends.

3. Strategic Job Applications

I applied strategically to companies that aligned with my career goals and values. This involved:

• Researching Companies: I looked for companies with a strong focus on innovation and quality assurance.
• Tailoring Applications: Each application was customised to highlight how my skills and experience matched the job requirements.

4. Preparing for Interviews

Preparation was key to succeeding in the interviews. I focused on:

• Understanding the Role: I thoroughly reviewed the job descriptions and researched the companies.
• Practicing Common Questions: I practiced answering common QA Automation interview questions, both technical and behavioral.
• Showcasing My Skills: During the interviews, I demonstrated my problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency with automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, and others.
