LaFerrari FXX-K has gained tremendous fame for its great speed and performance within a short period. With its stunning technology and aesthetics it has won the hearts of race car lovers. The meaning of LaFerrari is “The Ferrari”. It’s the outcome of research and improvisation of the Ferrari FXX model. The “K” in its name stands for KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System). This system is found in F1 cars, which is apparent when you see FXX-K giving an output of 1035 bhp. This output is higher than the original LaF by 101 bhp. The racing monster was first debuted in the world finals of Ferrari at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi in November 2014.

LaFerrari FXX-K is the latest in the lineup of Ferrari’s race track super cars which started with Ferrari FXX, followed by Ferrari FXX Evoluzione, then Ferrari 599XX and its Evo model, Ferrari 599XX Evo. The FXX-K guarantees to be the fastest and loudest of all these.

* LaFerrari FXXK features a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

* Its front tires are of size 265/30 R 19 and rear tires are of size 345/30 R 20.

* Another feature is its carbon ceramic brakes. The size of front brakes is 398 X 223 X 36 mm while that of rear brakes is 380 X 253 X 34 mm.

* The huge race car has double wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension.

* It is powered by 65 deg. V12 engine having 94 mm bore and 75.2 mm stroke.

* The compression ratio of the engine is 13.5:1.

* This two-seater car is rear-wheel drive. 

* Driving Modes

Instead of modes, like “sport”, “race” and “wet” given by the small switch on the Manettino (center console), LaFerrari FXX-K features 4 driving modes:

1. Long Run: For long distance driving

2. Qualify: For high performance on short distance

3. Fast Charge: For quick charging of battery

4. Manual Boost: In this mode all the power of batteries and engine is utilized in gaining maximum torque 

This is because the FXX-K is concerned with nothing else than being on track.

And there is another Manettino too on the steering wheel which controls the electronic differential (E-Diff), Trac traction control (F1-Trac), the high-performance ABS and Racing SSC, specially calibrated to match the slick tyres of the car.

Ferrari claims that, the LaFerrari FXX-K reaches from 0 to 100 km/hr in 3 sec., from 0 to 200 km/hr in 7 sec and from 0 to 300 km/hr in 15 sec, and it laps its Fiorano test circuit of 1.862 miles in 1 minute, 14 seconds. Top speed achieved by LaFerrari FXX-K is above 350 km/ hr.
