Looking for eQuo Community Outreach Coordinators

We're looking for community and partnership coordinators for eQuo.

eQuo is building a team of people who are committed to helping improve the entrepreneurial ecosystem for small business. This team will reach out, network and create connections across Canada, so business founders, investors, partners and small businesses become aware of/ and join eQuo.

While this is a flexible, part-time role initially, there is the potential for the role to grow into permanent part-time or permanent full-time position. This is an entry to junior level opportunity, and requires strong communication skills and a passion for networking, social enterprise and small business. You will be working directly with the eQuo team, including co-founders, advisors and management.

eQuo's Mission

We have a mission to realize the power and potential of "SMALL", and we are looking for like-minded people to help us realize that mission.

About eQuo

Too many entrepreneurs are left out of the current ecosystem. We believe that unless we are all included, we all miss out on opportunities to realize our collective potential and the economic and social benefits that come with it.

eQuo is the beginning of change for a broken?Entrepreneur/ Investor ecosystem.?

We’re building the first inclusive, matchmaking platform?to connect?small businesses with investors, capital, customers, and talent, while accredited and retail investors get access to great small businesses.

Our MVP

eQuo will provide a broader range of investors, funding and capital alternatives to complement the traditional ecosystem, while being dedicated to ALL entrepreneurs and investors, regardless of sex, age, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, identity or disability.

Visit https://www.equoshift.com/ and https://www.frontfundr.com/equo to learn more about our community and distributed marketplace.

Our Vision

We intend to build a global distributed marketplace, filling a much needed gap for 583 million entrepreneurs and millions upon millions of investors and capital providers who support small business. Our product vision will expand from financial capital solutions to also include human capital solutions. While the vision is big and bold, we are building the team to execute it.

The Role

Outreach Coordinators are our community outreach ambassadors. This means they need to be comfortable networking, cold-calling and using a variety of means to connect with entrepreneurs, accredited and retail investors, capital solutions providers (including new Fintech), associations, groups and any stakeholders who are part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. This includes a comfort level in the following:

  • Social Media outreach
  • Direct Electronic outreach (email, DM via LinkedIn or other media)
  • Personal outreach (networking events, or direct community outreach)

We will be asking our coordinators to inform people about our community, asking them to join as one, or potentially all of the following:

  • Entrepreneur Profile (Registering a corporate profile to complete our alpha target of 5,000 + small businesses across Canada.)
  • Accredited Investor Profile (Registering an investor profile as an accredited investor, angel group, family office, investment group or other similar profile. We are looking to have a minimum of 300 + investors/ groups for our alpha.)
  • Capital Solution Provider Profile (Registering as a capital provider, including credit and alternative credit providers, alternative fintech, cashflow solutions, factoring companies, currency exchange companies, convertible debt, merchant cash advances, ecommerce lending and credit facilitation, leasing alternatives, partner financing, community development finance institutions or other capital and credit providers. We are looking to have a minimum of 150 + capital profiles for our alpha.)
  • eQuo Partner (eQuo partners are both financial partners (Truly Financial, Frontfundr, CAARY, e-Capital, RiceFX etc) or non-financial partners (Startup Canada, poptikr, Naborino, Spark etc) who work directly with eQuo to explore solutions for the ecosystem, collaborate on education, events or initiatives, and who are oriented toward building each other up with coordinated efforts and mutual outreach.) *if you are interested in becoming a partner, reach out to start @ equoshift.com

Community Outreach Coordinators will also be helping eQuo to complete our Frontfundr crowdfunding campaign, where we are asking 1,000 everyday Canadians to invest $250 in exchange for ownership in eQuo (419 Class A shares). We want our community to own eQuo, proving that you don't have to be a millionaire to invest in private equity.

We currently have achieved 41% of our goal of $350,000 through a "Think Small" campaign, with over 100 investors to date. By helping us complete our retail investor goal through "Think Small", we prove that you are never too small to make a big difference.

eQuo Community Coordinators will be working between 8 to 20 hours per work with a flexible schedule.

eQuo Community Coordinators will operate as independent contractors during the startup phase of eQuo. Permanent flex-time, part-time and full-time opportunities will be provided to the right candidates as the company grows.

eQuo Community Coordinators will be provided $19/ hr, plus bonus (options included).

Please reach out to start @equoshift.com to apply, including reasons why you want to be part of our team. Video submissions and other initiatives are welcome.
