Covid 19 has shaken the world in every possible way and the job market is no exception leading to uncertainties, job loss, and this sudden lack of confidence to shift jobs and careers.
We now prefer the comfort of an unhappy job in comparison to the unclear vision of a new job and its stability.
There are many reasons we tend to sabotage our career goals in fear of the blind spot – worried that we are not good enough, we don’t have the caliber to shine, not open to feedback or criticism, unaware of the future, fear of change and many more self-blaming scenarios.
The best part of your career is that it is YOUR career and you have to take full CONTROL of it or you can NOW attempt to take control of it.
I have also been part of the corporate world, dealt with career failures, lack of control, unclear futures, and difficult bosses. From the corporate world to my own company set-up work and life has taught me a few mantras over the years to help me review, revise and restructure my career and take charge of it:
Strengths are what you are good at and Super Strengths are what you are brilliant at. Build your SUPER strengths to achieve your goals and road to success.
Helen Tupper ?has so rightly mentioned in her book?#thesquigglycareer ?that "super strengths are the talents that make you really stand out and which you build your reputation for." Don’t be afraid to go the extra mile – explore your strengths, learn new skills and be confident to demonstrate your strengths for that promotion, interview or new job opportunity
There are various reasons why people look for a job/career change, more salary, better position, designation, company status, or stagnation in the current role. It is very important to define your success and reason to look for a change.
What are you looking to achieve in life?
Once you are clear about your goals you can curate a roadmap to achieve success

Be realistic about your next action plan and work towards goals that are SMART – specific, measurable, attainable realistic, and time-bound. Being a strategic thinker can make you analyze the situation and lead to production actions with a definite positive outcome.
The quote "Change is inevitable. Growth is optional" by author John Maxwell, is one of my favorites. It’s quite simple, the places you visit, the experiences you encounter will inevitably change. You will also change as an individual, now what you do about your growth depends solely on YOU. it is up to your determination and own initiative that can push you beyond the boundaries
You only truly grow when you seek opportunities that seem unreachable or seek a new challenge that seems impossible to overcome.
So grab a hold of those opportunities and don’t ever let go.
