Well,when we talk of figure, we quickly understood that the topic has to do something with sales,because this an area where ''Figure'',is the ''KING''&stands ''Tall'', out of every thing??
Now a days in scenario of acquisition&Merger,attaining a big Figure by an organization,If they have the Muscle\Money power is not going to be difficult task at all.......but when this comes to pharmaceuticals sales it is not the volume of business that speaks everything but there are as much important relevant aspects are there,which also get reviewed and count to the organization value.......... irrespective of ranking in terms of volume business,which are slowly-slowly disappearing and killing ethical&moral value of Pharmaceutical industry as a whole,
While exploring newer height of ''Figure'', did we lost,Discipline,Dedication,Respect at Doctors chamber&chemist,Detailing&Retailing,Brand building and exploring newerðical ways of Marketing,for which this Industry was known and use to attract Newer talents, to make a life time carrier??Is it not very unfortunate those who are associated in this pharmaceutical industry,doesn't want their next generation to pursue a carrier in the same profession??
Very recently,I was shocked to learn Marketing operation of a Pharmaceutical industry,where,Marketing manager of the company in a process to establish 2 brands of the division,ask it's filed staff to run a campaign and ask every body to meet same set of Doctors on weekly basis,without any input,leave behind,samples or any other promotional tool and with a threat to every body that,If they are not able to ensure progressive sales,they will be chopped down and their all monthly reimbursement will be stopped................... and all for achieving ''FIGURE'',...... and,I have been told that this particular division has seen 5 zonal sales manager in last 4 years,with sales de growing under the leadership of same TOP MANAGEMENT.....
Are we not ensuring that a Growth driven industry in future will be deprive of Talents,which has already started,in way of ''VERY HIGH ATTRITION RATE'', in all level.......
Well,Time has come,when we need to review our system of Business development of Pharmaceutical industry in such a way,that this attracts one of the Best Talent from next generation and it can regain the glory of past....................................

7 年Very real fact in pharmaceutical sales mentioned in this article.Respected Prabir da,due to transforming business nature due to global take over,merger,amalgamation Industry is face huge competition.So it is very tough to regain past culture.The majority of person accept directly in directly this present culture.More wise and gentle approach is expected,because by this type of experimental claws and condition generate nothing,it create distance between employee and organization.Organization image is face a black spot in the market.Thank you.Multiple wise innovative small small activity may implement by higher management.
