Looking back over 12 months success at Axio

Looking back over 12 months success at Axio

Unbelievably I am now reflecting on 12 months at Axio and what a year it’s been!

?Leaping off the big corporate stage was a big change after 22 years at Allianz but it’s so gratifying to reflect on what we’ve achieved at Axio since then which I can say I have directly helped drive.? And, as well as new relationships, I’m still able to work with some of those same partners I did previously

Those of you that know me, know I’m a big Pink Floyd fan so I’d thought I’d use a couple of Floyd pictures; they’re always open to interpretation; the diving man dives into water without making any waves, splash or ripple as if he’s there but not there, and the Tree of Half of Life just encourages you to think……

Were Axio always there without making a ripple??? Maybe, but that’s changed now, in the last 12 months we’ve achieved so much in the Insurance Team including:

and APARI (The Association of Indonesian Qualified Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers)

plus we had the pleasure to present to the Insurance Institute of London audience on Cyber Underwriting 2.0 and the benefits it can bring the London Market

  • Joined the panel discussion at SASIG for the Risk and Cyber Insurance Day ?

  • Accelerated new insurer and broker partnerships with those looking to gain a market edge and drive innovative solutions
  • Accelerated exciting new distribution partnership opportunities together with new client engagements looking to maximise captive utilisation
  • Accelerated some very exciting capital partner and smart contract relationships
  • Supported the insurance industry in starting to identify and quantifying cyber ESG exposure and resultant impact on assumed positions that have not considered malicious cyber breach
  • Supported raising the potential fiduciary risk exposure to asset managers that are unable to identify the cyber resilience of invested assets??
  • Helped identified the Basel III operational risk capital charge potential exposure for secured assets not insured for cyber physical damage and loss of revenue
  • Forged new relationships with key global insurance and financial regulators to support their risk identification and modelling

And shortly we’ll be launching our new dedicated Axio insurance web page to compliment our existing offerings.........

A personal thank you to all those that have supported me over the past 12 months especially in my early days; it’s always personally rewarding to turn support into progressive client solutions

??? And my core takeway from these last 12 months?.........The Property underwriter in me just can’t help but feel that we need to accelerate investment in cyber risk engineering if we’re to close the widening cyber coverage gap in both the primary and reinsurance markets and across a multitude of risk exposures, classes of business and exposed parties; cyber risk is not limited to the cyber line of business and questionnaires simply won’t cut it

New, smart ?capacity needs robust engineering data as we square up to the tomorrow's challenge today
