??Throughout the selection rounds, the Organizing Committee witnessed many groundbreaking innovations in various areas: Ecosystem-boosting solutions, workforce development, chip design, and simulation in the semiconductor sector; customer experience enhancement, smart factories, logistics, energy, data security, and process optimization in the AI sector. The solutions align with the growth of Vietnam’s semiconductor and AI industries and the government’s high-tech strategy. This program not only reflects the vision of the Ministry of Planning and Investment but also contributes to realizing the strategic goals set by the government.

?? Commenting on this year’s Semiconductor Solutions, Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Tu from the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Vietnam National University, highly praised this year’s VIC for creating a platform for various entities, particularly startups and young Vietnamese tech companies. He was also impressed by the unique solutions showcased in the morning session, which demonstrated innovation and the determination to overcome the current challenges facing Vietnam's semiconductor industry.

??Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Tu highlighted the great potential of high-tech solutions, such as optical integrated circuit design simulation and manufacturing microcontrollers with competitive pricing against existing brands. According to the professor, this is no easy task, especially given Vietnam’s current challenges in workforce, technology, production facilities, and software licensing. He also appreciated the diversity of topics, including areas of global scientific interest.

??In conclusion about the prospects of Vietnam’s semiconductor industry and VIC 2024 Semiconductor Solutions, the professor believed that Vietnamese companies have a significant advantage in terms of high-quality human resources, which he considered a “decisive factor for a company’s success.” Additionally, he recommended that solutions from the program should connect with universities and institutes to enhance workforce quality, gain experience in design, production, and international cooperation, and bring products to market, thereby expanding opportunities for success.

?? Regarding this year’s VIC and AI Solutions, three veteran AI experts on the program’s Selection Committee, Mr. Tran Viet Huan (CTO, S?n Kim Group), Mr. Le Nhan Tam (CTO, Microsoft Vietnam), and Dr. Quy Vo-Reinhard (Co-founder, CRO, dHealth, Switzerland; CEO, V-Space Global, France), offered insights and key recommendations for refining and directing the development of the solutions:

??Mr. Tran Viet Huan observed that Vietnamese companies have gone beyond mere ideas, applying their solutions to business and improving customer experience. Moreover, these solutions, with their deep understanding of the local market and customers, are the key to competing with foreign companies. However, to compete internationally, Vietnam needs to significantly elevate its technological capabilities.

??Mr. Le Nhan Tam noted that AI solutions are tackling real-world challenges faced by many businesses today. According to him, many Vietnamese businesses are tapping into existing customer bases within large corporate ecosystems, which may limit their ability to expand into international markets. He suggested that solutions adopt a more open approach and enhance the current ecosystem when reaching out globally. Additionally, he emphasized the advantage of participating in the program, with support from tech mentors to connect businesses with potential customers and create development opportunities.

??Ms. Quy Vo-Reinhard summarized key points: This year’s solutions are highly sophisticated, with widespread practical applications and the potential to dominate the market. However, she also pointed out limitations such as difficulties in scaling internationally, the need for data training to meet international standards, and intellectual property issues, as businesses mainly rely on existing software. Moreover, some companies still depend on suppliers from Taiwan and China, which could be a barrier to global expansion. Overall, compared to last year’s VIC, the solutions this year have made remarkable progress.

?? The organizing committee sincerely thanks the Selection Expert Panel for their valuable time dedicated to the program and solutions. The committee’s enthusiastic contributions not only helped create the success of the program but also promote the sustainable development of Vietnam's Semiconductor-AI ecosystem.

?? Once again, we wish the solutions continuous innovation and improvement to foster the ecosystem’s development. At the same time, we encourage them to maintain their excellent performance as they head toward the Awards Ceremony and aim to become the most Outstanding Solution of the program.
