Looking Back at 2024
As 2024 comes to a close, we at Wicket are taking a moment to reflect on what an amazing year it has been for Wicket and the broader facial authentication sector.
We started the year by celebrating a significant milestone in Wicket's history: after a little more than 3 years since our first facial ticketing deployment at the Cleveland Browns , we had crossed the 1 million entries threshold. As we thought about the year ahead, we set a lofty goal of doubling that in 2024.
Today, we are proud to announce that we drastically exceeded that goal, with more than three million biometric transactions spanning ticketing, payments, credentialing, and access control. This came in part because existing customers like the Browns, Mercedes-Benz Stadium , and Salesforce expanded their use of facial authentication technology and because we more than doubled our customer base, welcoming new teams like Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) , United States Golf Association (USGA) , and the 美国佛罗里达大学 .
We also signed a milestone deal with the NFL as they expanded the use of Wicket for gameday credentialing league-wide. We were proud to partner with companies like Accredit Solutions to improve security and accountability for all 32 teams.
In a similar vein, our expansion at venues like Huntington Bank Field and BMO Stadium came in part due to strong payments and point-of-sale partnerships. After being recognized by VenuesNow for our work with Lava.ai , Tapin2 , and Aramark Sports + Entertainment , we expanded our payments ecosystem, going live with a new Mashgin integration.

As Alicia Woznicki Nicol , Vice President of Design and Development at Aramark Sports + Entertainment said in an announcement about this expansion: "The success of Express Beer at the Browns’ stadium showed us that fans are interested and willing to enroll in the digital age verification process, which gave us the confidence to expand on a much larger scale and introduce a comprehensive food and beverage program with the same capabilities.”
2024 also saw other leagues and venues expand their use of facial recognition technology, notably several additional MLB stadiums adopting the MLB Go Ahead Entry solution and the Intuit Dome opening with a biometric-first approach to entry and payments. We are excited to see how other providers continue to expand the use of their facial authentication technology to deliver sensational event experiences.
As we turn the page to 2025, we want to thank the more than 40 major league teams and dozens of other organizations that have trusted Wicket to improve their event and venue experience and security. We have high hopes for the year ahead and remain committed to providing a responsible biometric solution that delivers a sensational event experience for everyone.
Here's to an amazing 2025!
Congratulations!
