Looking back at 2024

As we say good bye to 2024, we are taking a moment to reflect on an incredible year at Gurzu. At Gurzu, we’ve worked hard to deliver meaningful impact for our clients while building strong connections within our team and with the community around us.

Client Success Stories:

• One of our client projects, ONE OS launched on iOS and android platform. OneOS is a one of a kind lifestyle application that integrates health, wearable payments, and connected luxury experiences to transform any luxury watch into a smart companion. Learn more about ONE OS on their website.
• In March of 2024, an entrepreneur approached us to help create a backend service that used an AI tool to analyze emails. It took us only a month to develop this powerful web app. You can learn more about this project here.
• Collaborated on an exciting project Orygen, an extended reality platform. Orygen utilizes lightweight embedded technology to seamlessly connect physical products with interactive digital experiences.
• Launched CRISTA - web app and mobile app in just 2.5 months. Read more about the app here.
• Celebrated the launch of hamrotrips.com
• New features added for our client project - Receptionist.
• Release of a new project - Extend My Life
• Deployed our digital display software - Splashnode to new screens across two different cities in Nepal.
• We launched WOLO an producthunt to an overwhelming support. It is a fun social media app that our engineers worked on. Follow the launch here.

Gurzu Hack Day

On August 2024, Gurzu proudly celebrated its 10th anniversary!

To mark this milestone, we hosted an exciting Hack Day at our premises. Our engineers formed 4 teams, each tackling an innovative project of their choice.

Here are interesting solutions people worked on:

• A mobile application to find parking spots around your city
• A web app that automates internal organizational emailing campaigns
• A solution that connects volunteers to community events
• A mobile application that makes unique travel plans for you

Launched a Brand Manual for Startups

Knowledge Ketchup V2

Knowledge Ketchup is Gurzu's own twist on classic lunch and learn concept. It's a weekly event where each of our team member takes the stage to share something that they know with the rest of the team.

We commenced the version two of knowledge ketchup starting this november and aim to conduct sessions regularly on a bi-weekly basis. You can follow these sessions through speakerdeck and knowledge ketchup podcast.

Internal Events

• We hosted the 'Gurzu Standard Git Convention,' where five of our team leads shared key insights on Git best practices to all of our engineering team.It was an in-depth session focused on enhancing our version control practices.
• Hosted an event on fundamentals of frontend development and best practices for all of our engineering team.

Gurzu Blog

We take pride in our blog that is written and maintained by our talented engineers. This year we wrote on many topics ranging from our tech stack, design, and quality assurance. Explore the Gurzu Blog here.

Community Involvement

We had the pleasure of welcoming talented students from Lumbini Engineering College to the Gurzu office, providing them with an opportunity to network with our engineers. This initiative is part of our commitment to bridging the gap between academia and the tech industry in Nepal.

We’re excited to kick off another year at Gurzu! After an amazing 2024, we are excited to kick off another year at Gurzu.

We’re ready to dive into new technologies, tackle fresh challenges with our clients, and welcome more talented people to the team. We’re also looking forward to hosting more Knowledge Ketchup sessions, staying connected with our community, and working on projects that inspire us all.
