Looking back on 2022

May her wings of love, protection, and grace provide for us all new life perspectives. RIP grandma Lucienne.
January: Grief.
When I encountered this tree during a hike in Oregon, it/she/he/they/them triggered a feeling that there's enough (goodness in the world) for everyone. A reminder that there's a branch for everyone to sit on, lean on, hang on, and swing from. Your branch awaits! Seek it or find the tree and share it with others.
February: There's a branch for you and me.
The ability for humankind to share emotions using this natural gift – a smile returned as WA state lifted the mask mandate. While the COVID-19 pandemic is not yet "over,"? reaching this milestone, among many others, gave us (humankind) hope. Now, I remind myself that there are so many more things to smile about :-)
March: "Peace begins with a smile" - Mother Theresa
I'm still terrified by water and swimming. I am grateful to have worked through the fears and discomfort to find the courage to zipline across lakes. It was exhilarating and well worth a try! Please don't mind the screaming.
April: Growing by trying...
o many invisible superheroes make a difference daily in our personal lives or at work. They make a difference. Each contribution to whatever causes we believe in makes a difference – A reminder to be fully alive, showing up and activating our superpowers often.
May: Come alive and make a difference.
"This little light of mine, I am going to let it shine…."?
June: Be still and let is shine...
Take the time to recharge – It's vital for mental and physical well-being – the day-to-day grind takes a toll, and we need to learn to take more breaks more often to optimize our wellness, performance, attention, and focus.
July: Rest, anywhere and anytime you need it.
I am soaking in the night's peacefulness balanced with the city's aliveness—the feeling of Tranquility and awe.
August: A picture is truly worth a thousand words.
Remember to look up! Often we get stuck looking in the usual places, here's to our opportunity to broaden the horizon. Watch the moon and stars at night, then dance with them.
September: As stars and moon reflect their light on earth.
Nature remains my primary source of inspiration, and a shout out to my inspiring hiking buddy (Nicole). Additionally, it was great to have my mother visit and go on a forest hike with her.
October: Thank you Mother Nature - the gift that keeps on giving! (photo credit: Nicolle Omiste)
November reflections: Letting perfection be the enemy of good enough. Things that didn't get done (among others).
November: Work in progress (Art by Felix Fokoua)
I appreciate each of you, and I am grateful for each of you. We created lots of memories, shared emotions shared, and co-created + collaborated – Thank you for sharing your time, treasures, and talent. May this new year be filled with adventures, growth, and excellent health.
December - I cherish you and Happy New Year!

Closing 2022, I'd like to share a gift with you. A sneak peak of one of the poems entitled: Ode to Africa

Thank you!

What a beautiful post, my friend - just like you. And that poem is powerful healing. I'd like to make sure we don't leave such long gaps between our visits this year, I'll text you to set up time to connect. ??
