Looking Back on 2017

So, as I write this to share on LinkedIn, it's approaching midday on Friday 22nd December and we're tantalisingly close to the end of 2017.
There a only a few short business hours left, before we finish for the year and head off into the realms of eating, drinking and being merry.
I wanted to share a few business highlights from the last 12 months, as I think it's really easy to forget what's been achieved and learned, and reflecting on the previous year is a reminder of how far you've come.
But firstly, where precisely has this year gone?
Honestly, blink and you'll have missed it.
It seems like only 10 minutes ago it was January, and we were heading into the New Year.
Looking back on the last 12 months, it's been an exhilarating ride.
- Student Beans has partnered with over 150 new brands, keen to attract student customers... the list is too numerous to mention, but include Fashion, Technology, Entertainment, Restaurants, Travel, Retail, Sporting Goods and many many more.
- Our service has expanded into an additional 24 countries around the world.
- Our student membership/user base has experienced a significant net increase in every country where we operate.
- The verification technology solution has been optimised several times, continuing to lead the way in the student market.
- Black Friday week was 5 x bigger than the same period the previous year.... which is only one of the key promotional periods which grew significantly in 2017.
- ... and we've broken every milestone / metric from 2016.
But... you see, most importantly, whilst all of this is great to share, it's not really about us.
It's all about our Brand partners and Student Members.
We strive every day to deliver a world class service, to help our clients grow, and our students lives made more awesome whilst studying.
Looking back on this year, I can confidently say that we've done just that.
I guess my final point is that the saying "time flies when you're having fun" is such a relevant expression, as I have thoroughly enjoyed this year, and so excited to enter 2018.
I love what I do, I love our team (who do an absolutely phenomenal job) and there isn't a day that goes past without my appreciation for all things Student Beans.
