Looking Ahead To GivingTuesday 2020: Every Act of Generosity Counts

GivingTuesday is to be held this year on 1st December, 2020 and it is a worldwide generosity movement unleashing the global power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

This December may be very different from all past Decembers as we have known them, the majority of months in this unprecedented and turbulent year have challenged all of us. GivingTuesday knows this year has been difficult and challenging for all of us. As we, all of us around the world, come to the end of 2020, GivingTuesday wants to give you an opportunity to take something positive from this year and help make a real difference in your local communities and our world.

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past years, GivingTuesday has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.

Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about GivingTuesday wants you, your local community and our global society to know that every act of generosity counts! Together, we can change the world. One act of generosity at a time.

Let’s come together - however safely we can - to GiveBack to the local and global nonprofit organizations and causes that are close to our hearts or have supported us throughput this Coronavirus pandemic. Signature fundraising events have either been cancelled this year or made into special virtual ones.

If you are a nonprofit organization, kindly note that this is the time to engage your supporters and donors at every level. Help them reconnect and be energized by the mission and vision of the nonprofit organization. Through giving back and providing them with GivingTuesday 2020, your nonprofit organization is offering the gift of an opportunity or indeed a path for help, hope and healing by inviting supporters and donors to express their generosity alongside your organization’s work.
