Look what we found in an irrigation system!

A whole paper shop towel!  This was suddenly under a valve diaphragm.  This let water pass and the zone was constantly on.

This system was new about fifteen months ago.  This zone suddenly stayed on for a day or two before the client called us.  

We checked out the solenoid and the controller, then pulled the top of the valve.  This appears to be an entire blue paper 'shop towel'.  How or why are unknown.

This almost appears to be an intentional act of sabotage done at  the time of the original installation.  We can't think of a good reason for a whole shop towel to be in an irrigation line.  There is no sign of recent tampering, so we assume it has been in the line since installation.

This is certainly a first for us!
